It’s now been two days since we arrived in Costa Rica and it’s incredible to think what we’ve seen in this little time. While we are of course preparing to take on the international competition at the World Robot Olympiad 2017, we took some time to explore this beautiful country and get to know the people and culture.
On November 4, we’ve landed in San José, the capital of Costa Rica, and after getting our rental cars directly headed for our hotel.
Getting up the next day, we grabbed some supplies at Walmart (which does exist in Costa Rica) and made our way to the Pacific coast where we would be staying for the next couple of days and were immediately greeted by a variety of animals, some of which we’ve never even seen before.

There, we really started to see the beauty of Costa Rica as we drove down the Pacific Coast and were amazed by black beaches surrounded by colorful jungle and beautiful coast lines. As we arrived at Park Manuel Antonio, one of the most attractive tropical parks in the world, we got to see our first Costa Rican monkeys and sloths as well as incredible scenery.
